Cookies & site storage

What Wolfies World stores on your device: shopping bag local storage, Shopify checkout cookies, third-party links, and how to control your browser data.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files a browser stores. Local storage is a similar mechanism a site can use to keep information on your device. UK rules on device storage apply to both — calling something local storage does not exempt it.

Storage that is strictly necessary to give you the service you asked for, such as keeping your bag, does not need consent, but we still have to explain it — that is what this page is for. Anything optional, like advertising, only runs with the consent the law requires.

Our shopping bag

We store one local-storage entry called ‘shopify-cart’. It holds the products and quantities in your bag, the Shopify cart identifier and the checkout link. Its only job is to keep the bag you asked us to build — it is not used to build an advertising profile.

Local storage lives on this site's origin and has no automatic expiry date. It stays until our site clears or replaces it, or you clear this site's data in your browser. Emptying your bag clears its contents; clearing site storage removes the saved entry. Neither cancels an order you have already submitted.

Checkout, bookings and other services

Shopify Checkout sets its own cookies to process payments, keep the session working and protect transactions. Their exact names, lifetimes and purposes depend on Shopify's checkout configuration, so we point you to their notice rather than publish a cookie list we have not verified.

Setmore and Instagram are external links, not embeds on our site, so their own storage applies once you click through. We request fonts from Google Fonts, and a font request is not by itself proof that an advertising cookie is set.

Optional tracking

We have not added advertising pixels or optional analytics to this site. That is not a guarantee about every technology used by our hosting or by Shopify Checkout, and we will audit the live site, including checkout, before publishing a final cookie inventory.

If we add analytics, advertising or social embeds, we will disclose what they do, who provides them and how long they last, and put a real consent control in place before they run. Simply browsing is not consent, and we will not show a fake preference panel for tools we do not use.

Controlling your data

You can view, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's privacy settings. Clearing this site's data removes your saved bag, and blocking essential storage can stop your bag persisting or affect checkout features.

Browser settings do not delete information we hold after you order — for that, see our privacy policy. If we ever ask for optional consent, withdrawing it will be as easy as giving it.
